Father's Day at Noah's Ark

On Father's Day, Matthew and I gave Tony some time to himself while I took Matthew to a Gymboree Music class and later in the early evening the three of us went to a pool party at Noah's Ark, a toddler water park in West Houston. Matthew had a blast! He had the best of both worlds--water and slides. He went down the slides at least 50 times and Tony and I were exhausted by the end of the two hour party. Matthew slept well that night and slept in until 10AM the next day (about 2 hours longer than normal).

Matthew didn't need our help going up and down this slide. Notice he is wearing his baby Michelin Man suit.

Matthew and Daddy with Noah's Ark slides in the background. The feature in the background has a lot of water spouting animals, 3 slides, and a tunnel. Matthew tried all.

Is it Bedtime?

This short video should let you know how much Matthew likes his bedtime.

Nothing to say about this video.. it just demonstrates his cuteness.. no bias here.

Baby Michelin Man

Our favorite summertime activity is swimming at the local pool for good reason. The temperatures average about 95 degrees in the summertime. Matthew likes to be independent and not be carried at the pool the whole time so we bought him this floatie suit. It makes me laugh when I see him because he looks like a multicolored Michelin Man.
This photo makes him appear like he doesn't like his new suit but I think he is trying to imitate his Grampa "Eyebrows" Vivona.

Here is another one of Matthew's favorite past times... telling me what he thinks of the food by throwing it across the room. In this case it was sweet potatoes. Fortunately, our doggie clean-up crew took care of most of the mess.
Speaking of food critics, last week my brother googled Matthew to try to find this blogsite but instead of this website he found this article. I didn't know that Matthew was famous :) http://blogs.houstonpress.com/eating/2009/01/a_younger_view_on_pizza.php
