we found OLD BONGO!

After being missing in action for a full 6 weeks, we have given up on looking for old bongo. In the meantime, Matthew received another Bongo (a red colored version of Bongo he immediately called 'Momma Bongo') and a white-faced Capuchin monkey called Mooch.

On Sunday, June 3rd, daddy found Old Bongo napping, er... hiding behind the couch, under a dress shirt which daddy got for his birthday (over 3 weeks ago!) that some how landed on top of him... Daddy was wondering where his present went... The shirt must have disappeared the day of his birthday because the tag was still on!

We have a strong suspicion the missing monkey / shirt incident was Jacob's doing because 'throwing stuff behind the couch when he thinks the parents are not looking' is one of his favorite games! We usually catch him in the act and retrieve whatever he throws behind the couch but this time he was successful...

To celebrate, Matthew and Jacob rounded up all stuffed animals they could find and threw Old Bongo a welcome home party.

As you saw in the video, Matthew decided that June 3rd is Old Bongo's birthday.

Since Sunday was all about getting re-acquainted with Old Bongo, Matthew decided to see how many monkeys can fit into big plastic tub. Maybe he's seen this trick too many times at the circus with the clowns piling into a car...

When we saw him doing this, the phrase 'more fun than a barrel full of monkeys' immediately came to mind.

Both monkeys got a horsey ride too!
